Hi Everyone
Sorry its been awhile since our last update. We seemed to be settling in and we had our first weekend at home. It was really nice. The Mister was home and we took the boys swimming both days and just hung out. Friday we took the boys to dinner with 2 other couples and their kids.It was a lot of fun. One couple was from Cyprus and they have been us citizens for over 20 years. The husband Nicos is in the army and he is with AFRIMS. He had a PHD in something to do with viruses studies....and then we started to drink margaritas and all I heard was blah blah blah with a very think accent. The other couple is from here. The wife is Thai and the husband is from Maine. They have lived here for 10 years. Wife studied in the US before that. Then we had more margaritas and all I heard was more blah blah blah. Both women did not drink. We are having dinner again this Friday with out kids. I guess I did not scare them away with my drinking. They were alot of fun or at least it seemed like it after 2 pitchers of margaritas.
The Cyprus family that we met moved into our building about a week ago and they have a son Tanner's age and a daughter in 10th grade. Joy and I have gone out a couple of times to shop and we have plans all next week to see more of the shopping areas. We are going to China town hopefully on Monday. We went to the fruit market and flower market on Wednesday. The fruit was amazing and it was very inexpensive. I also bought a plant for my patio....no seriously I did. I know right!! It only needs to be watered once a week. So I am thinking it stands a chance of surviving. I will take a picture of it for proof. When the boys came home they thought someone made a mistake and delivered it to the wrong house. They are taking bets on when I will kill it.
I have news on our shipment....and its not good. I called our GSO housing and finally got someone that speaks English and they told me our stuff would be here September 15Th. What!! It's not even here. They will call me Tuesday to let me know if it arrived. Maybe 2 weeks after that! I got a hold of someone from the moving company. I called them. I could tell when I told her who I was she did not want to talk to me. Not a good sign. I explained to her about unanswered e-mails and how we left June 16Th and blah blah...put me on hold and came back two minutes later and said it was suppose to be here September 15Th. WHAT??? Did not tell her I already new. She was talking and I told her to stop talking that I had a stack of e-mails and nothing she said matched up. They told me it would arrive on August 24Th and the truth was it did not leave until the 24Th of August. She did a lot of back pedaling and apologizing. Told her it did not matter that they were horrible people for knowing and not answering e-mails and lying. I also let her know that she made 4 boys very unhappy and really laid it on thick. I think I told her 3 times total to stop talking!! Told her didn't matter what she had to say. Bottom line is they lied and its not going to change the fact that it will be another 3 weeks until we have our things. When I got off the phone Tanner looked at me and said "I bet you made her cry!! Good for you mom, how would she like it if she didn't have her xbox for 3 months!" That's my boy!!
The Mister will be taking the boys on a tour of the USS Lincoln on Saturday. Its at the port were our stuff is suppose to be. The Embassy put it together and they handle transportation. The boys are very excited. Its about an hour and half away. Total boy thing to do on a Saturday. I am going with my friend Joy to an Expat fair at Bumrungrad hospital. Happens to be right across the street form us. They will have over 70 vendors and a Thai craft show there. They have it every fall its suppose to help people living abroad get information on clubs to join and places to visit, health care and lots more. Total girl thing to do on a Saturday. Did I mention the boys will be gone all day!!
Well I am off to bed. Boys are off school tomorrow again. Another Thai holiday.

Hey Melissa!
That is completely ridiculous about your household goods. The military has a way to let us file complaints about moving companies. I think that if they receive enough complaints, that the movers lose the gov't contract. You should ask if there is a complaint system for you to report that big bunch of liars!! I hope they deliver your stuff SOON!
well- how can they not be soooo accommodating when you are SO MEAN to them!!!
your lucky your crap came at all!!!
:)
miss ya!
