Moore Interesting things in Thailand

Hello Everyone

It has been interesting week. We have done and seen alot. The boys are doing well and very anxious for school....no not really but I am!! We are going to look at another school in Bangkok. http://www.nist.ac.th/default.aspx NIST. We are still waiting to hear from ISB about Jordan. NIST is closer to the condo. They would still have to take the bus but they would not have to get up and leave so early.

We went to Siam Paragon on Monday and Tuesday. They were working on the power Monday and Tuesday from 10-3. 4 boys no power and one of me, I was not gong to stay home. Its one of the biggest malls in Bangkok. They have an Aquarium in the basement of the mall. The boys and I bought a one year membership there. We got to see a Boa Constrictor up close. Tanner held it, Conner and I touched it. They also have rats as big as dogs there. The boys were impressed.

Tuesday I took them to see Dark Knight at the IMAX. They loved it. I also liked it. It was an amazing theater. Its also at the Siam Paragon. http://www.siamparagon.co.th/v3/index2.html.

After the movie we caught the Sky train home. Its really easy to get around with the Taxis and the Sky Trains.

The rest of the week we kept busy walking around and getting familiar with everything. We know our route to the market and the sky train. We learn something new every day.
On Saturday Paul and I went out to dinner near the house and Jordan watched the boys. We walked to the restaurant and as we were walking down the street there was an elephant walking down the street with us. Very cool. Lots of people touching it and taking pictures. There was a guy driving it (riding in it whatever you do with an Elephant)in a basket on his back.

On Sunday after we attended church....yeah we did....OK no we didn't but I absolved myself of all my sins and felt much better. Paul took us to MBK another big mall in Bangkok.

http://www.mbk-center.co.th/en/index.asp. Had a lot of fun there. Definitely going back without the boys. We took a taxi there. Not as much fun when you cram all 6 of us in a Taxi. We decided for family peace and my whining to take the sky train back home. A little more room then the taxi. Lots of interesting, very possible illegal things there to purchase. I have to take the boys PSP's back to be unlocked. No you really don't want to know. You might be an accessory after the fact. The boys loved it. There is a whole floor dedicated to gaming.

Conner was invited by his friend Declan who lives on the 12Th floor to go to camp all week at his school. 9AM-2:30PM. They have a pool, arts and crafts, computer lab oh and Conner's favorite part lunch and snack. He had a great time and is exhausted. Just how I like him full tummy and to tired to move!!

Tomorrow after we drop of Conner the boys and I are going to Pauls office to get the mail and shop at the commissary. I go to a Thai market for most of our groceries and for the most part stuff sold from here is not expensive at all. But if we want to buy American groceries its crazy expensive. Cake, brownie, muffin mixes are all over 5 dollars. The cereal is crazy I paid 5 dollars for a box of cocoa puffs that is about a fourth of the size as the US stuff. I also can't find my favorite dressing in whole world. Honey mustard!!! I know you feel sorry for me! I will leave my mailing address at the end so you all can send us some. Maybe it would help my cause if I tell you 3 out of the four boys will also eat it.

Paul and I bought a card reader for my camera so I am going to attempt to attache pictures. All the instructions are in Thai. I haven't taken very many since we got here. Tomorrow when we go out I will take a lot of pictures.

The ones I am sending are from the second floor level. That is where our pool and tennis courts are. There is also a basketball court on that floor as well. The construction is across the Klong (canal) The boys are getting a kick out of watching them building.

Hope you all are doing well. We miss you all and would love to hear from you!!

Oh I almost forgot to update on Jordan's stomach. Still nothing he keeps eating from the street vendors and has had no problems. I am going to stick to restaurant food.
