Hi my American Peeps.
We have been busy busy. We checked in at the Embassy on Monday and Tuesday. We are really close to the Embassy. Saw Paul's office across the street from the Embassy. Met the peeps in his office. We went to medical and we were cleared there. Waiting for our rabies shots. There is a shortage. Not sure if I should worry about that!! The Embassy was very nice lots to do there. We went shopping at the commissary. They have alot there its just expensive. We have been to the local groceries stores and they are not bad. Milk is very expensive. Not alot of milk drinkers here. We have been really pushing the water on the boys. The Embassy brings us big bottles of water every Wednesday for our water machine thingy. We have been swimming everyday. Paul and I have been using the gym. J&T have been playing tennis and also using the gym.
We stopped by GSO on Tuesday and ordered more furniture for the condo. We have two balconies and we also ordered patio furniture. We are still waiting for our things to arrive. Paul is still working on his diplomatic status so even if our stuff was here we would not be able to pick it from customs. Hopefully he will find out today.
We went to the boys school on Wednesday and took a tour. It has alot to offer the boys. Small size class rooms, no more than 22 in a class. 2 play grounds, a pool, baseball fields, soccer fields and a track. Conner is very excited about lunch. Keegan and Conner's meals are included in their tuition that the Embassy pays. When we got to the lunch room and Conner saw all the food , summer classes were eating lunch, he was in heaven. Then our tour guide said they can go up as much as they wanted for seconds, thirds and so on he was sold!! We have to pay for Jordan and Tanners meals. We go back August 1st. to pick up uniforms and school supplies. School starts August 6Th.... :-)
Paul took me to a spa yesterday and dropped me off while the boys went to his partners house and swam. I got my first Thai massage. I go back Saturday for a facial and manicure. I love it here. The best part is how inexpensive it is.
Oh and the best part......Vodka at the commissary cost half what it cost in the states!!!!
Tonight we are going to the Marine House at the Embassy. Its a bar. They are having a chili cook off. The boys are excited to meet some Marines. Saturday we are going to learn how to use the subway and go to the market. It will be nice to get around while Paul is working. He will be traveling soon and I know the boys will want to get out.
Well we are off to the pool. Very hot and humid today. Lots of sun. This is the rainy season but Bangkok does not get a lot of rain.
Take care
